Tax License
This is easy to do over the
phone! Just contact your State
Department of Treasury. They will direct
you to the person you need to talk to. In many cases,
you will be asked a few simple questions and get your
license number right then! A packet with your printed
license will usually arrive in your mailbox at a later
date. Some states also offer a free class or two during
the year, to help you with preparation and answer questions
you may have. My advice is to take advantage of these when
they are offered. Don't get caught selling your goods without collecting sales taxes! Agents do make random checks at shows. Many shows will not let you in without a resale license. This license will also enable you to purchase your supplies from wholesale companies, giving you more room for profit. Back to page 1: Selling
