A Note About Copyrights
Copyright laws are there for your protection, as well as others'. It is imperative you know about them and adhere to them at all times. Simple mistakes can be made when one does not keep up on these laws. It can cost you dearly!
Visit the Library of Congress' web site for the best information on obtaining copyrights, or any questions you may have .
You may also visit our Crafters' Reference Library Builder to purchase some
informative books concerning copyrights.
Protect your work by easily applying for copyrights online at:

Keep Good Records
You need to know if you are making any money. Also, the dreaded taxes must be paid. Many shows require you to have a sales tax license.Check into some good software to make your jobs easier. Accessmicro.com is a good place to find excellent software for your accounting needs. You can purchase many of your bookeeping and office supplies online at: TotalOfficeSupply.Com .

Here is a good source for printer ink:

Get Your Tax License
This is easy to do over the phone! Just contact your State Department of Treasury. They will direct you to the person you need to talk to. In many cases, you will be asked a few simple questions and get your license number right then! A packet with your printed license will usually arrive in your mailbox at a later date. Some states also offer a free class or two during the year, to help you with preparation and answer questions you may have. My advice is to take advantage of these when
they are offered.
Don't get caught selling your goods without collecting sales taxes! Agents do make random checks at shows. Many shows will not let you in without a resale license. This license will also enable you to purchase your supplies from wholesale companies, giving you more room for profit.

I hope you have found these pages helpful, and wish you all the best with your endeavors. Please check back often, as I will be adding more helpful information as I think of it. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Good luck!
